Description : Keville Enterprises, Inc. (KEI) in Boston, MA is seeking a qualified construction manager to oversee mechanical, electrical, plumbing, (MEP) and HVAC construction at Logan International Airport in East Boston, MA, as an owner's representative. A positive attitude is a must.
Duties : Area of focus will be : overseeing and inspecting MEP and HVAC construction work performed by construction contractors to ensure conformance with contract plans and specifications; contract administration; reporting daily progress; tracking and documenting quantities of work performed; communicating with and coordinating multiple entities to avoid work stoppages; resolving construction problems and challenges in the field; and other oversight responsibilities as assigned. Candidates shall have thorough knowledge of and experience with : MEP & HVAC construction systems, materials and equipment; strong communication skills; documentation control experience; and the ability to read and interpret plans and specifications and to perform quantity takeoffs / calculations.
Qualifications : Experience in overseeing, managing, inspecting, and testing large-scale commercial, institutional or industrial MEP / HVAC system projects is a must. Candidates must be fully proficient in the use of computers including MS Word, Excel and construction reporting / quantity tracking software. Must have experience with and full understanding of airfield operations and FAA regulations. Experience working in international airport terminals is desired, and experience working in Logan International Airport terminals is strongly desired. Must have effective written and oral communication skills, be eager to learn, willing to perform a variety of tasks and be a team player. A minimum of five years of experience in overseeing and managing MEP / HVAC construction projects.
Professional Engineer's license or CCM certification are strongly preferred. Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) or Associate's Degree in a relevant field is preferred.
Other : Employees assigned to driving duties ("drivers") must have a current, valid US State driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with Keville's driving policy.
