As a Junior Closer, you'll gain hands-on experience in the mortgage process from start to finish. You'll assist in coordinating loan closings, preparing closing packages, and ensuring seamless transactions so homebuyers get their keys on time. With a strong desire to grow, you'll develop the skills needed to become a seasoned closer / funder while delivering top-tier customer service..

This role is a hybrid role, based in office Monday through Wednesday and is remote optional Thursday & Friday.

The things you'll do...

  • Redisclose all fee changes due to changes in loan terms throughout the process (e.g. third party fees, changes in appraised values, etc.) to ensure Tomo is in compliance.
  • Request and monitor all lender wires through the warehouse bank to fund loans on behalf of the entire closing team.
  • Track all signed physical loan documents to ensure timely delivery to warehouse banks and subsequent shipment to designated investors.

  • Thoroughly review all pre-closing documents to ensure accuracy of information, including fees, rates, property details, and vesting before document preparation.
  • Input required closing data in the loan origination system
  • Review compliance reports and remediate any fails or alerts
  • Check title report for correct endorsements and approved items, and to verify that Borrower and property are correct
  • Prepare and issue the Initial Closing Disclosure.
  • Draw and release closing documents to the Settlement Agent
  • Authorize funding of loan
  • Assist in resolving any post-closing issues as needed

  • A bachelor's degree
  • 1+ years of professional experience (bonus if that is recent mortgage closing / funding experience)
