Summary :

Working under the supervision of a nurse, the Certified Nurse Assistant I administers patient care and related activities, services and / or procedures to promote the physical and emotional health and personal comfort needs for assigned patients.Â

Duties and responsibilities include : taking and recording vital signs, changing bed linens, transporting patients, assisting patients in ambulating, delivering food trays, general cleaning and supply distribution, and providing activities for daily living to include bathing, dressing, feeding and assisting with personal hygiene. This position may include other duties as assigned.

Perfectly positioned to serve the rapidly-growing south side of Corpus Christi, CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi - South is licensed for 158 beds. South offers a full range of medical and surgical services including pediatrics, obstetrics, skilled nursing, emergency, intensive care as well as advanced diagnostic and imaging. The hospital is also home to a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit which enables recovering mothers to remain close to their premature or special needs babies.

Requirements :

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills and computer literacy is required. Two-years previous experience as a Nurse Assistant in a hospital setting.
• Current Texas CNA Certification
• CPR (American Heart Association) Unit specific certifications required

Work Type : Per Diem As Needed
