Position Overview : As a Staffing Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our assisted living community is adequately staffed with qualified and caring individuals. Your responsibilities will include overseeing staffing schedules, assisting with recruitment and hiring processes, facilitating staff onboarding, and managing nursing administration tasks. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the well-being of our residents while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities :
Develop and maintain staffing schedules to ensure appropriate coverage for all shifts.
Collaborate with department managers to assess staffing needs and adjust schedules accordingly.
Assist in the recruitment and hiring of new staff members, including conducting interviews.
Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process for new employees.
Assist with filing and administrative tasks related to nursing operations.
Collaborate with nursing administration to ensure smooth communication and coordination of tasks.
Participate in regular staff meetings to discuss staffing needs and strategies for improvement.
Actively participates in the reduction of overtime.
Maintains the resident charts, and file documents.
Retrieve phone messages, answer phones regularly, taking messages as needed.
Maintain confidentiality of all material.
Assist with program or arrangements for special functions.
Copy and fax materials as needed.
Arrange rides for clients.
Works as home health aide as needed.
Coordinate visits of outside providers.
Works alongside nurses.
Qualifications :
Previous experience in staffing coordination, HUC, or related field is preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in Ability, Kronos, Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software, preferred.
Ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Compassionate and caring attitude towards seniors and staff members.
