Operating Room Nurse (OR RN)

JOB DETAILS :

OR RN’s provide care for patients before, during, and after surgery. Duties include patient education, circulating nurse and / or scrub nurse, and potentially First Assist. Work alongside surgical teams to make sure that patients are receiving the best possible care; serve as liaisons between the surgical team and the patients ' families. OR RN’s work in the operating room of a hospital. There are several types of operating rooms depending on the type of surgery such as : General, Orthopedic, Neuro, Spine, Urology, and Cardiac / Thoracic.

Education / Requirements :

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) : 4-Year Education
• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) : 2-Year Education
• You must earn an ADN or BSN degree and pass the NCLEX to apply for a license as a RN.
• RN‘s can only work with an active state license.
• ACLS is often required
• Full Time Assignment (Minimum 13 weeks required) Recent Experience Required . Flexible Schedule Required
