FAILURE ANALYSIS TECHNICIAN

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform root cause analysis on products.
  • Perform evaluations per drawings, schematics, and documentation.
  • Inspect products for flaws and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct testing and collect data.
  • Validate corrective actions.
  • Provide clear reporting of root cause analysis.
  • Prepare and conduct experiments with audio equipment.
  • Operate and maintain audio test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot analog and digital circuits.
  • Support electrical engineering and new product development.
  • Perform basic mechanical evaluations.

Required Skills / Qualifications

  • Minimum of an AA degree or closely related field with a minimum or 3 years of experience in root cause analysis.
  • Advanced experience in electronics failure analysis.
  • Proficient with test equipment; e.g. oscilloscope, 12 volt power supply, DMM.
  • Proficient in soldering through hole and SMT.
  • Read schematics, mechanical drawings, and decipher circuit board layout.
  • Familiarity with the integration of car audio systems including source units,

    • equalizers, speakers, subwoofers, signal processors, and amplifiers.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows.
  • Strong electronics background.
  • Mobile audio experience a plus.
