WHAT YOULL DO
The Installation Supervisor is responsible for mentoring and overseeing the jobsite installation teams. This position will serve as the main Installation Quality Control point of contact for our office and will support the Operations / Installation Manager while serving as a field change agent to help improve overall communication, project execution, and efficiency with Installation Technicians.
Day-To-Day Responsibilities :
- This role is critical in ensuring that all audio and visual productions meet our high standards of quality and excellence. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of audio and visual technologies, strong analytical skills, strong installation skills and the ability to manage a team effectively
- Oversee the quality control process for all audio and visual installations, ensuring compliance with company standards and client specifications
- Support all types of technical escalations from the field team and work with other team members on resolutions as needed
- Conduct quality control visits during and post-installation / commissioning and report findings to project teams and management
- Conduct pre-installation site surveys as needed
- Coordinate and manage installation activities, including all out-sourced or sub-contract work in support of project installation activities
- Develop a thorough understanding of project requirements and objectives including, but not limited to contractual, technical, schedule, construction coordination, materials, personnel, and scope of work
- Support and contribute to process improvement initiatives
- Demonstrate installation tasks for audiovisual projects including, but not limited to : pulling cable, cable termination, and equipment mounting
- Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
- Conduct site inspections and audits to evaluate the quality of installations, including equipment installation, wiring, and overall functionality
- Identify, document, and address quality issues or discrepancies during installations, collaborating with teams to implement corrective measures.
- Travel to multiple and various job sites daily to monitor installation activities
- Mentor and support Installation Technicians through their designated learning development plans
- Possibility of 5-10 direct reports
