Network Security Tech

Vigilant is in search of a Network Security Tech to aid both client and internal infrastructure systems with our expanding Vigilant Connect Business. Vigilant is on a mission to defend and protect people, businesses, and society against those who would exploit weakness. We enable better risk-informed business decisions, innovate to solve challenges, and drive excellence within Cyber Security. As a Network Security Tech on the team, you will report directly to the Director of Vigilant Connect.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Identify and resolve hardware and software, and network problems for clients
  • Configure, Deploy, Support Next Gen Firewalls
  • Provide technical remote and onsite support to clients and internal staff
  • Coordinate capacity, planning and analyze customer infrastructures
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of hardware configurations, software installations, and network setups
  • Provide insightful change recommendations based on documentation analysis to elevate the client experience and streamline operations
  • Willingness to dive in and tackle any challenge head-on will be key to this position's growth and success

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates Degree
  • Demonstrated understanding of networking, firewalls, server, and client / server technologies
  • Minimum of 2+ years of industry experience
  • Prefer Industry standard certifications, CCNA, NSE, Microsoft
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and technical aptitude
  • Demonstrate ability to identify problems and work creatively to resolve them, considering the impact of actions on other departments and Team Members
  • Demonstrate ability to respond in a flexible manner and to reprioritize work as situations change
  • Demonstrate initiative to learn new skills or expand job roles
  • Evaluate work and move ahead if further steps "above and beyond" should be taken
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in written form, technical information with a wide variety of individuals and groups.

  • Admin Knowledge of Office365 with emphasis in email security
  • Datto Technologies
  • Deployment and troubleshooting Windows Servers
  • Knowledge of scripting
  • Working knowledge of core networking technologies and protocols
  • Knowledge of Cloud technologies
  • Knowledge of Linux Operating systems
  • Knowledge of Backup Technologies
  • Working knowledge of virtualization technologies
  • Knowledge of SDWAN
  • Working Knowledge of Fortinet Firewalls and firewall platforms
  • Other Requirements

    This role leverages a flex-schedule that may involve nontraditional working hours. Must be able to work from the Vigilant office (Cincinnati, OH) or remotely from a home office, depending on the candidate's skills and experience. This position is eligible to US citizens physically residing in the US, any offer of employment is contingent upon background, drug screen, and reference checks.
