Job description

S SUMMARY :

Utilizes technical, functional, and business expertise to advice and counsel management and employees on various employee relations areas, including disciplinary actions (DAs), policy and procedure interpretations, exit interview data, ADA requests, terminations, EAP referrals, compliance programs, and unemployment. Exercises independent judgment but may seek guidance on highly complex issues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Provides support for the Employee Relations team to ensure completion of various reports, compliance, and other administrative tasks. leadership and expert guidance to management on diverse and complex issues, based on
  • Coaches and guides management on resolving employee relations issues.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships to understand business needs and proactively provides solutions.
  • Acquires extensive knowledge of TMC policies and federal and state regulations.
  • Partners with internal teams (Security, Management, and Legal) to conduct internal investigations, analyze information, report findings, and make recommendations.
  • Prepares, analyzes, and distributes pertinent information to the organization as appropriate.
  • Assists in administering ADA requests.
  • Ensures the integrity and security of confidential employee data.
  • Exhibits TMCH values of integrity, community, compassion, and dedication.
  • Adheres to TMC organizational and department-specific safety, confidentiality, values policies, and standards.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION : Associate's degree from an accredited institution in a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

EXPERIENCE : Three (3) years of professional human resource experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

  • Knowledge of investigative and analytical techniques, procedures, and requirements.
  • Ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and choose the most appropriate.
  • Skill in preparing detailed reports, researching various topics, and presenting information to management.
  • Logical and reasoning skills to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
  • Adaptability and enthusiasm for working in an environment that supports new ideas and change.
  • Skill in analyzing management needs and preparing recommendations.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries or complaints from employees, management, representatives of other healthcare organizations, and the general public.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
