Summary : As a Payroll Intern at Surge Staffing, you will embark on a journey to learn the intricacies of paying associates & completing all necessary paperwork. This internship provides a hands-on experience in time entry, child support, employment verifications & cutting paychecks for all external employees. Join our team and gain valuable skills in payroll while contributing to the growth and success of Surge Staffing.

Primary Responsibilities :

Learning the back-end payroll system
Processing current week-end payroll
Ensuring good relationships with field staff + branches
Completing corrections on checks

Additional Duties :

Provide administrative support by learning how to complete child support, employment verifications, garnishments, & medical support

Cross train with the billing dept to ensure accurate invoicing with time entry.

Qualifications :

At least a Junior pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data management.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with applicant tracking systems.

Enthusiasm for learning and a passion for talent acquisition and recruitment.
