Description
of Duties / Essential Functions
1. Coordinate the CS Engage Grant and MTEL Support program logistics, such as :
- Coordinate the grant and contractor proposal, selection, and award processes.
- Monitor and support grantees and vendors in the successful implementation of the program.
- Coordinate timely reports from grantees and vendors.
- Maintain a centralized database of grant and vendor deliverables and activities.
Including : Developing and implementing procedures for coordination and monitoring of the overall project. Monitor and support the vendors as they coordinate with Local Education Agencies (LEA),
Assist with general administrative duties and communications with participating LEAs such as entering and tracking data, monitoring grant budgets, maintaining filesystems, drafting correspondence, and responding to e-mail and voice mail inquiries.2. Provide program support for federally funded partner projects, such as :
Collaborate and communicate across other DESE offices around project as needed (e.g., Data Office, Research Office, research team, etc.)Coordinate the development, revisions, and web posting of project resources and materialsRecruit and engage school superintendents, principals, and teachers for activities related to the research studies and project disseminations.Support partner communication plan for the projects.3. Support MA DLCS Initiatives, such as :
a. Support the development and dissemination of state Digital Literacy and Computer Science (DLCS) Framework, DLCS Implementation Process, and related resources, tools, and professional learning opportunities to a broad audience.
b. Support Curriculum Matters Project, CURATE and Evaluation and Selection Network
c. Support with meeting scheduling and communications with stakeholder groups.
d. Support proposal development and implementation of DLCS programs.
4. Additional projects may be added depending on the needs of the agency. Perform related duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications :
At least three years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, teaching, administration, or coordination experience, in science technology / engineering : digital literacy or computer science, or math, in a school or district settingAdministrative or program coordination experience, program planning and / or program analysis,Excellent organizational and communication skills,Experience and fluency with Microsoft Office Products (including Excel).Administrative or managerial experience which involved program management, program administration, program coordination, program planning and / or program analysis.Strong analytical skills and experience in the education sector and / or with education data.Demonstrated skills providing superior service to a client or customer organization, e.g. active listening, developing relationships, structuring problems, and creating solutions collaboratively, etc.Track record of strong communication about data (written and verbal)Strong ability to comprehend, analyze, and communicate complex information quickly.Experience in DLCS education and implementation, and familiarity with current research and best practices in DLCS;Knowledge of Massachusetts DLCS Curriculum Framework;Experience working with an explicit equity-based lens.Experience working with a range of diverse stakeholders and tailoring approaches and communication to successfully meet project goals and timelines.Salary will be based on level of experience. Some travel within the Commonwealth may be required.
