Commercial Construction Project Engineer
Reputable Builder has continued to expand due to their ongoing awarded projects and current projects that are in their pipeline. As a mid-size builder they have a strong mentorship program within their company allowing their employees to interact with Leadership at different level attributing to their career development. Our client has an immediate need for a Project Engineer (PE) to join their Vancouver, WA office. As a PE, you will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure the successful execution of construction projects. Your responsibilities will include preparing and managing bid packages, contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, submittals, and RFIs, as well as tracking material deliveries and maintaining document control.
In this role, you will actively participate in scheduling, procurement, shop drawing review, cost analysis, and project close-out activities. Additionally, you will assist in preparing change orders for Owners, Subcontractors, and Vendors, and generate reports as requested by the Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities :
- Procure shop drawings, samples, and submittals as per project specifications.
- Ensure current plans and specifications are distributed to all project stakeholders, including subcontractors, vendors, and on-site staff.
- Coordinate with the Superintendent to expedite material and equipment deliveries to meet project timelines.
- Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers regarding schedule dates and provide updates to the project team.
- Maintain established procedures for obtaining approvals and processing submittals with Owners, Architects, and Engineers.
- Attend project meetings and distribute meeting minutes.
- Track all RFIs, ASIs, Submittals, Addenda, and Project Costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist with project close-out by submitting as-built drawings, guarantees, warranties, and operating instructions.
Qualifications :
A four-year degree in a construction-related field or equivalent experience.Strong proficiency in Procore , Sage 300 (Timberline) , BlueBeam , and MS Office .Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines in high-pressure situations.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to present information effectively to clients, architects, and engineers.Professional demeanor with the ability to handle confidential information.Compensation :
