Human Resources Generalist Description

Our client in the e-learning industry is looking for an HR Generalist to add to their team in Tempe, AZ. In this role, you will manage various human resources functions, ensuring smooth operations and compliance across the organization. Key responsibilities include payroll and benefits administration, employee relations, compliance reporting, and updating the employee handbook. You will collaborate with leadership to align HR operations with organizational goals, promoting a positive, collaborative, and productive workplace. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and an excellent communicator. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of HR operations and make a direct impact on the team.

Human Resources Generalist Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR resource for staff
  • Oversee timely and accurate payroll processing
  • Lead open enrollment processes and communicate benefits updates to employees
  • Drive recruitment efforts, from job postings to candidate selection
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws
  • Review and update HR policies to align with organizational goals
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee records
  • Plan and implement strategies that support employee engagement and retention

Human Resources Generalist Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2+ years HR experience required
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws required
  • Experience with HR / Payroll software systems required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Familiarity with policy updates and employee handbook revisions required
