Position Overview :
This is an entry-level role with a flexible onsite schedule : one week with 2 days onsite, followed by a week with 3 days onsite (2-3-2 schedule). The position involves supporting the intake, screening, and triage processes under the guidance of a supervisor, assisting with the determination of services to meet the needs of individuals contacting the department. You will work primarily with Medicaid-related tasks and contribute to maintaining accurate data and ensuring a smooth eligibility determination process.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist with intake and eligibility determination processes related to Medicaid benefits.
- Coordinate with external staff to ensure timely and accurate Medicaid application submissions and eligibility determinations.
- Track Medicaid applications, update relevant systems, and ensure completeness and accuracy of eligibility data.
- Support outreach efforts to raise awareness of Medicaid programs and resources.
- Work with various professionals, such as service providers and hospital staff, to facilitate referrals and ensure that individuals are informed about available services.
- Participate in meetings and support the development and distribution of materials related to Medicaid resources.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in a human services-related field, or an Associate’s degree with two years of relevant experience in a similar role, or a high school diploma with four years of relevant experience.Strong communication, organizational, and attention to detail skills.Ability to manage crisis situations and work with diverse populations, especially older individuals.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to type at least 45 words per minute.Bilingual (English / Spanish) skills are a plus.MOHR Talent is an equal-opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local nondiscrimination laws.
