Our client is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer with ten or more years of experience performing electrical engineering and design of LNG, Energy Transition, Carbon Capture, Refining and / or Petrochemical plants.
Responsibilites :
- Lead and / or support a Team of Electrical Engineers and Electrical Designers on PDP, Pre-FEED, FEED and Detail Engineering Projects
- Develops project scope of work for electrical engineering and design
- Monitors and advises Department Manager of major project changes
- Prepares detail design schedule milestones, staff loading schedules and man-hour estimates for engineering and
design tasks
Reports progress, updates schedules, manages staffing needs and hourly budgetEstablishes engineering and design concepts and data for scope assigned to group and assures technical accuracy and conformance to project requirementsPrepares project scope deviations documentation as requiredResearches suitable solutions, estimated cost and timescalesTrains less experienced engineersReviews vendor documentsIndependently evaluates the selection and / or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria and systems to efficiently meet project objectivesApplies standard engineering design tasks and exhibits a working knowledge of applicable codesPlans, schedules, and coordinates detailed phases of workReviews and generates design data and / or deliverables from various inputsPerforms the more sophisticated and complicated designs in accordance with established company standardsCoordinates details and miscellaneous design criteria with other disciplinesSupervises, checks and assists other electrical personnel in their assignmentsPrepares and / or supervises and checks documents and drawings as requiredManages all Electrical personnel on the team including Workshare Office staffManages all Electrical design deliverables on the project, including electrical power studies (load flow, short circuit, motor starting, protective relay coordination studies, etc.), electrical area classification drawings, one-lines, schematics and wiring design; lighting, power, grounding, and cable tray plan drawings, and specification of electrical equipment such as Motor Control Centers and Switchgear in Petrochemical Plants.Qualifications :
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical EngineeringEffective writing and verbal communication skillsAbility to obtain an Engineer-In-Training Certificate or currently an Engineer-In-Training is preferredProfessional Engineer License and the ability to register in multiple states is preferredDesired Experience :
Ten or more years of experience performing electrical engineering and design of LNG, Energy Transition, Carbon Capture, Refining and / or Petrochemical plants.Project lead experience.
