Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Driver Recruiter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in sourcing, attracting, and hiring top CDL Class A Drivers to meet the needs of our organization. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of the transportation industry, a keen eye for talent, and the ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously. The Recruiter will collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential candidates through various channels including job boards, social media, and networking events.
  • Utilize Tenstreet to manage candidate data and streamline the recruitment process.
  • Screen resumes and applications to shortlist candidates based on qualifications and fit for the role.
  • Conduct Phone or in- person discussions to assess candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and create compelling job descriptions.
  • Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions and progress throughout the recruitment process.
  • Provide regular updates to hiring managers regarding candidate status and feedback.
  • Build strong relationships with candidates to ensure a positive experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in recruiting to enhance effectiveness.
  • Develop advertising initiatives to attract drivers in our hiring areas.
  • Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators to monitor success and monitor advertising effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in CDL Class A recruiting is required.
  • Familiarity with Tenstreet is a plus.
  • Strong research skills to identify potential candidates effectively.
  • Excellent interviewing skills with the ability to evaluate candidates objectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on building relationships.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • General understanding of Social Media Marketing.
