Job description

Overview

The primary role of the MDS Assessment Nurse Coordinator will be to implement the state and federal guidelines related to the MDS process, complete the MDS process and ensure that all is current and implemented. You will be delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to carry out your assigned duties.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a Registered Nurse Degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved Registered Nurse program.
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in New Jersey.
  • Must have two years long-term care experience.
  • Must possess an intimate knowledge of the MDS process.
  • Must also have one year experience as an MDS Assessment Nurse or a Registered Nurse with MDS experience.
  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
  • Must be experienced in planning, organizing, developing, implementing, and interpreting programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care.
  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability.
  • Must be able to push, pull, move and / or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and / or carry such weight a minimum distance of 20 feet.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Salary : $80,000 - $130,000
