The University of Texas Permian Basin's Department of Graduate Studies welcomes applications for the position of Graduate Enrollment Counselor

Salary Range

43,500.00 depending on qualifications

Essential Functions

Serves as the first point of contact for our prospective and enrolled students to assist them in making fully informed decisions on how to achieve their educational goals. Provides professional knowledge, advice and counseling skills regarding the graduate admission and recruitment process.|

1. Guides prospective students through the University’s admissions processes including answering questions relating to program requirements, application materials, graduate and university policies, etc. Ensures students have a solid understanding of the time commitment, technology and skills required to be a successful learner. Assists students with questions and concerns.

2. Process Admissions applications to include preliminary assessment of academic records and credentials to ensure applications meet standards for review. Communicate with applicants and notifying the applicant of any missing materials. Enters materials into the University database, including entering decisions.

3. Maintain and process graduation applications including final degree checks, academic petitions, transfer credits, and other items related to enrolled students.

4. Communicate regularly with enrolled students regarding graduate policies and procedures.

5. Provides resources for student support.

6. Prepare reports and analysis of data and activities as needed.

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree

2. Two (2) year's experience in university admissions or related field.

1. Bilingual (English & Spanish)
