Job Title : Assistant Project Manager / Estimator
Location : Greensboro, NC | Raleigh, NC | Durham, NC
Summary :
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Estimating and Project Management Assistant. In this role, you will collaborate with Project Managers and Estimators, assisting in all aspects of the estimating and project management process. Position Responsibilities :
- Assist in the estimating process as directed, including attending pre-bid meetings, performing quantity take-offs, and soliciting sub-bids.
- Develop and update both master and short interval schedules for project control.
- Provide weekly updates of quantities installed to support productivity reporting.
- Complete document control procedures, including maintaining the Drawing Log and issuing relevant documents to subcontractors.
- Compile and submit submittal packages with shop drawings for approval, and update the submittal log accordingly.
- Track and maintain material status logs.
- Update and track the project punch list or issues matrix.
- Review weekly productivity reports with the Project Manager and Superintendent, suggesting improvements as needed.
- Assist with coordinating sub-bid solicitations and procuring resources such as suppliers, manpower, and equipment.
- Support the Project Manager and Superintendent in daily coordination of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure proper documentation for any additional work.
- Help the Superintendent with the completion of As-Built drawings.
- Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in fulfilling project closeout requirements.
- Maintain project files, process shop drawings, and perform assigned contract administration duties.
- Prepare submittal packages and assist with financial management, including writing and issuing change orders, approving material invoices, and tracking material, labor, and equipment.
Required Skills :
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Primavera.Experience with BIM, GradeBeam, and Bluebeam is preferred.OSHA 30-hour certification is preferred.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to follow directions, read, and understand plans and specifications.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Ability to follow through and meet deadlines.Knowledge of construction and scheduling techniques.Required Experience :
A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is required.2+ years of experience working in the construction industry.EOE STATEMENT :
