Manage operational support services in the areas of food service, housekeeping, linen distribution and maintenance. Participate in and support agency wide safety, security and regulatory agency compliance programs. Oversee, direct and monitor the operations of other areas of responsibilities as assigned : Security, Maintenance Contracts, Project Renovations, Special Functions, Clinical Engineering, Contractors, Energy Management
WHAT YOU WILL DO :
- Develop and implement policies and procedures.
- Select, train and orient personnel.
- Evaluate performance management such as promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Counsel and guide staff and provide in-service education.
- Maintain employee records.
- Participate in staff meetings, inter-agency meetings and facility committees as requested.
- Maintain a good working relationship with other facility staff.
- Establish programs to assure that a high quality of service and public image is maintained.
- Develop and maintain automated systems for routine management and projects.
- Maintain records and statistics for administrative and regulatory purposes.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, JCAHO, State and Federal regulations.
- Assist in development and management of operating budget.
- Assist in development and implementation of capital budget request list annually. Provide justification for requests.
- Consult and advise administration / financial services regarding budgets, major capital expenditures for the physical plant, equipment systems and future projects.
- Review plans and direct the construction and renovation projects of the hospice and its buildings up to major additions and new construction.
- Manage the allocation of resources within the defined budget.
- Participate and support volunteer utilization within the area of responsibility.
- Promote customer service relations for internal and external customers according to the HWR standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with service / supply vendors.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUCCESS CAPABILITIES :
Bachelors degree from an accredited school in engineering discipline or equivalent training and experience.Five (5) years of healthcare operations support services experience with increasing levels of responsibility.Working knowledge of all applicable regulatory agency codes and standards.Working knowledge of automated methods for building systems control, safety and security and operations process management.DETAILS :
