Job Description :
The Human Resources Manager will be part of the HR team responsible for administering the day-to-day operations of the human resources department. The HR Manager will assist in a variety of Human Resources functions, tasks and projects. This position requires an individual who is skilled in human resources practices and demonstrates effective communications with individuals at all levels within the organization. This position requires high attention to detail and the candidate must be capable of maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. Assist and advise in the enforcement of these policies and procedures as needed to help ensure current employment law compliance.
Administer and communicate company benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, life, COBRA and the voluntary plans) with employees and carriers.
Assist with benefits open enrollments during yearly designated period.
Daily processing of all aspects of orders for temporary staff employees upon management request. This includes, but is not limited to placing orders with staffing agencies, verifying employee arrivals, coordinating CBP “pool list” of qualified candidates, and internal communication to other team members.
Process weekly payroll hours to staffing agencies for all 250+ temporary staff employees.
Audit and approve all outside service labor invoices weekly and create weekly labor expenses report for upper management.
Coordinates our On-Boarding process and ensures that pre-employment process is completed for incoming candidates. This includes processing the background verifications, preparing offer letters, overseeing the employee new-hire orientation for processing of new hire paperwork and communicating with other departments in regards to internal needs for the new employee. (IT, payroll, etc.)
Assist in sourcing and recruitment process for a variety of company openings including assisting with screenings and phone interviews when called upon.
Assist with planning and coordination of annual Employee Health Fair.
Assist with planning of company employee activities (i.e. : quarterly potlucks, monthly treats for employees, etc.)
Qualifications :
Minimum 3 years of progressive Human Resources experience with demonstrated knowledge of employment law and compliance requirements, and the basic principles and practices of Human Resources.
High school diploma required. Associates or Bachelor degree in Human Resources or other related discipline strongly preferred. PHR is a plus, but not required.
Bi-Lingual – Proficiently able to read, write and translate documents in both English and Spanish.
Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
Proficient with Word & Excel and HRIS systems. Exposure to ADP and HRB a plus.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
High attention to detail and a self-motivated team player.
Ability to apply sound business practices and make decisions
