IT Infrastructure Manager (Windows)
Optomi, in partnership with one of the nation's leading specialty distributors, is seeking an IT Infrastructure Manager who will be responsible for the hands-on management, execution, and daily operations of IT infrastructure and security functions. This role ensures the stability, security, and performance of internal IT systems, cloud environments, network services, and end-user computing. The IT Infrastructure Manager will oversee vendor relationships, service desk operations, manage escalations, and execute IT projects aligned with organizational goals. This position plays a key part in maintaining efficient IT operations while ensuring high service availability, security posture, and cost-effective resource management!

Experience of the right candidate :
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related area or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum 7-10 years of total IT experience, including :5+ years overseeing vendor management, procurement, and service desk operations.5+ years working with Microsoft’s Cloud Suite : Azure, Office 365 (O365), Teams, Intune, etc.7+ years of infrastructure experience, 3-5 at a senior level.3+ years managing a team.Background with public / private cloud models (strong Azure best practices and security)Experience managing and configuring servers, firewalls, networks.Demonstrated experience in best practices for cloud architecture and security.Experience building and managing a Disaster Recovery (DR) Infrastructure.Progressive hands-on technical experience in IT infrastructure – architecture, systems administration, routing / switching, network design, database systems, virtualization, storage area networks, etc.Responsibilities of the right candidate :
Oversee and support internal IT systems, including network infrastructure, Azure cloud services, storage, virtualization, and enterprise applications.Manage relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring SLA adherence, contract compliance, and operational performance.Supervise IT service desk operations, handle technical escalations, and ensure service levels meet business requirements.Provide hands-on expertise in Azure cloud environments, including deployments, scaling, and security configurations.Lead and execute IT projects, such as network upgrades, cloud implementations, and disaster recovery strategies.Deliver exceptional customer service through prompt resolution of technical issues and a focus on user satisfaction.Handle escalations, troubleshoot complex technical problems, and minimize business disruptions.Assist in budget planning and ensure compliance with organizational policies, standards, and external regulations.Collaborate with IT teams, business units, and external partners to ensure seamless IT operations and alignment with business objectives.
