Job Summary : Responsible for preparing and / or coordinating the preparation of the design and engineering on large and complex mechanical piping projects as required by client's documents and provides design, bill of material and cost worksheets.
- Lead the design of structural and mechanical piping systems, including pipe and duct supports, for projects such as water / wastewater treatment plants, power generation facilities, and process utility systems.
- Prepare and review project estimates, evaluate requests for quotes, and develop cost analyses, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Generate and review design submittals, construction documents, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with key mechanical accounts to develop project quotes and secure contracts or purchase orders.
- Oversee post-award activities, including sales order preparation, coordination with purchasing, and ongoing project management through completion.
- Conduct occasional site visits and work closely with sales representatives to promote engineering services and solutions.
- Utilize AutoCAD, BIM software, and other required tools to ensure high-quality design and project delivery.
- Develop and maintain cost data, vendor and subcontractor information, and estimating procedures.
- Train and support junior engineers and staff to enhance team capabilities.
Requirements
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering (preferred).3-5 years of experience in design engineering, estimating, or project management in related industries.Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP systems like Eclipse.Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Essential Functions :
