A company is looking for a Principal Nuclear Design and Shielding Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity, 100% remote.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and analyze shielding models for nuclear systemsCalculate dose rates, energy deposition, and gas production ratesProvide guidance on shielding strategies for novel nuclear applicationsRequired QualificationsB.S. degree in Nuclear Engineering or equivalent experience with 30+ years in the nuclear industryExpertise in radiation shielding design for experimental reactors or fuel cycle facilitiesProficiency in Attila, MCNP, SCALE, ORIGEN, and CAD tools (SolidWorks, SpaceClaim / ANSYS)Experience with NQA-1 quality programs preferredFast reactor experience and software development skills for nuclear applications are a plus
