Primary Responsibility and Duties
- Plans, implements and monitors routing to ensure all delivery routes are optimized and communicates updates to necessary staff members.
- Partners with Client Engagement leadership to weekly and systematically evaluate and adjust HDM route geographic boundaries to balance routes by re-assigning clients and stops to ensure optimal delivery operation with regard to miles, clients, and number of stops.
- Provide daily new client updates to HDM Supervisors and Central Distribution Team to communicate routing sequence and balance changes.
- Participate in weekly meetings with Distribution and HDM teams to review routing and make recommendations for changes, as needed.
- Collaborates with the Director, Quality Assurance and kitchen management staff regarding pack and departure times to establish efficient routing sequences for Home Delivered Meals and Community Dining programs.
- Work closely with SVP, Operations to review drivers' actual vs scheduled hours to maintain efficient delivery routing.
- Supports Client Engagement in addressing client concerns related to delivery during distribution hours and works with the Client Engagement team to resolve the issues in real time.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong organizational skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage and inform internal stakeholders.Technically proficient with database and routing software platforms.Excellent computer skills with competency in database software, and Office 365.Strong leadership skills supported by confidence and the ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively, to identify issues and reach timely solutions.Ability to read maps both manually and electronically.Ability to work well with staff as well as volunteers.Ability to work effectively with individuals from a wide variety of ethnic, religious, and socio-economic backgrounds.Qualifications
2-3 years of working at a site management or team lead level in an organization that utilized databases and software to supports its business operations. Retail leadership is comparable.Current Maryland driver's license in good standingUS High School Diploma or equivalentDependable licensed and insured vehicle
