Job Summary

The Senior Strategic Account Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining key enterprise accounts to ensure long-term success and satisfaction. The role involves building strong, trusted relationships with clients while driving strategic initiatives that optimize product development, sourcing, manufacturing, and logistics. This position requires excellent project management skills with complex timelines, ensuring seamless coordination across multiple stakeholders, proactive risk mitigation, and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities while maintaining efficiency and delivering results on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management & Growth

  • Serve as the primary executive-level liaison for enterprise accounts, ensuring long-term client satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key client stakeholders, including C-suite executives, supply chain leaders, and product development teams.
  • Develop and execute account growth strategies by identifying new business opportunities and areas for improvement within existing accounts.

Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Lead quarterly business reviews and executive presentations, providing data-driven insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to ensure client revenue targets and cost-saving goals are met.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, AI utilization, and other innovations to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Project and Timeline Management

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of supply chain operations for enterprise clients, from product design and sourcing to manufacturing and global logistics.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues or roadblocks that may impact quality or timeline adherence.
  • Proactively address potential supply chain risks, disruptions, or inefficiencies.
  • Continuous Improvement and Development

  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging practices to continuously enhance client engagement strategies.
  • Become a product expert to provide strategic guidance on product development and supply chain optimization.
  • Identify areas where Shyft can improve processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and drive innovation in supply chain management.
  • Requirements?

  • Experience : 7+ years in strategic account, client relationship, or project management, preferably in supply chain or logistics.
  • Account Growth : Proven ability to develop, manage, and expand key client relationships through strategic upselling and value creation.
  • Project Management : Skilled in handling multiple high-value accounts and complex projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset : Proactive, results-driven problem solver who thrives in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making : Strong analytical skills to leverage data, market insights, and forecasting for business growth.
  • Leadership & Collaboration : Experience working cross-functionally to drive client success and operational efficiency.
  • Communication & Negotiation : Exceptional ability to influence senior stakeholders through clear communication and strong negotiation skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry Expertise : Experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or logistics, with a strong grasp of industry trends and best practices.
  • Certifications : PMP, CSCP, Six Sigma, or Agile certification preferred.
  • Education : Bachelors in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Technology : Proficiency in CRM, ERP, and data visualization tools for strategic decision-making.
