Description : Job Summary :
We are seeking experienced and skilled Journeyman Licensed Electricians with expertise in the oil and gas upstream and midstream sectors. This role involves constructing and maintaining well pads, compressor stations, meter stations, and liquid handling facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in instrumentation, PLCs, electrical systems, and conduit installation, with a proven ability to work in demanding environments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Instrumentation and Termination : Install and terminate instrumentation, PLCs, and IJBs with precision.
- Conduit and Tray Installation : Run galvanized conduit and aluminum tray to meet project specifications.
- Heat Trace Systems : Install, test, and maintain heat trace systems for piping and equipment.
- Electrical Panel Work :
Install, gland, and terminate transformers.
Set up and maintain 480 VAC and 120 / 240 VAC distribution panels.Install and configure soft starts and VFDs.Grounding Systems : Install and test ground grid systems to ensure safety and compliance.Lighting Systems : Install lights on breakaway poles and configure lighting contactors.Compliance and Safety : Ensure all work adheres to NEC standards, local codes, and safety regulations.Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently.Team Collaboration : Work closely with project teams, supervisors, and other trades to ensure timely project completion.Qualifications :
Licensing : Valid Journeyman Electrician license in Texas or New Mexico. (reciprocity application and relocation acceptable)Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years in the oil and gas sector, focusing on upstream and midstream projects.Skills :Proficiency in instrumentation and PLC systems.
Expertise in running conduit (galvanized) and aluminum tray.Ability to install and maintain heat trace systems.Strong understanding of 480 VAC and 120 / 240 VAC systems.Familiarity with soft starts, VFDs, and ground grid systems.Physical Requirements :Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor environments.
Comfortable working in remote locations with varying weather conditions.Certifications : OSHA 10 or 30 is preferred.Benefits :
