This role is for the hands-on project superintendent who wants to get out from under the thumb of big corporate construction and make a real difference.

If so, as a Superintendent for Ratcliff Construction, you will lead all phases of a construction project in the field and on the jobsite from handoff meeting to project completion. You will be our boots on the ground to safely and effectively deliver on time, on spec, and on budget commercial construction projects. We are looking for top-notch construction talent to help us grow our 90+ year old family-owned company. This role is a hands-on construction management position that requires critical thinking, the ability to pivot, the ability to manage subcontractor and client expectations, and the ability to own the outcomes. Specifically, you will be responsible to :

Possess a thorough understanding of plans and specifications in the construction of a project as well as the knowledge of construction techniques and the imagination to derive the most efficient method of completing a task.

Have leadership ability and foresight to predict problems before they develop

Communicate with the Project Managers and Architects daily, to resolve any problems

Perform take offs and order materials

Coordinate and communicate our plan and schedule of activities to all subcontractors, material suppliers, and partners to effectively implement our goals.

Enforce safety requirements for company and subcontractor crews

Maintain a high standard of quality control at all times

Perform weekly sub-contractor meetings and monthly Owner meetings
