About the Role :

As a Lead Software Test Engineer at FindLaw, your responsibilities are to :

  • Lead a global team, managing workflows, and tasks in an agile model leveraging Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO).
  • Collaborate with others efficiently and effectively to accomplish tasks on the desired timeline.
  • Design, develop, test, automate, and deliver application features that delight customers.
  • Learn and apply new business and technical concepts quickly.
  • Provide technical leadership to the team, ensuring design, architecture, and testing strategies are aligned with the FindLaw strategy, standards, and best practices.
  • Participate in all aspects of the agile process from story creation through release.
  • Contribute non-functional requirements to projects to achieve long term application health and stability.
  • Understand and apply current secure development practices.
  • Maintain an understanding of industry trends and use this knowledge to bring new innovative ideas to the group.
  • Support production applications as needed to prevent service interruptions and maintaina high level of quality for our customers.
  • Communicate effectively in written and verbal form with colleagues and vendor representatives.
  • Effectively manage your priorities and time.
  • Present technical concepts and proposals with business and technical audiences in a way that resonates with them.

About You  :

You are a fit for the Lead Software Test Engineer role if your background includes : :

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Related Field.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience with Java, Selenium , and REST API Test Automation.
  • Minimum of 3 years providing direction to team members and managing parts of software testing lifecycle.
  • Experience creating, maintaining, running, evaluating, and reporting on automated tests.
  • Experience with manual test definition and execution.
  • Experience with cross-browser functional testing as well as an awareness of common web development pitfalls and solutions.
  • Experience with mobile web browser automation testing using tools such as BrowserStack.
  • Experience with test automation within a AWS environment.
  • Familiarity and experience with Cucumber preferred.
  • Familiarity with UI & Accessibility testing preferred.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills, and familiarity with common debugging tools (Chrome Dev Tools, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective cross-functional relationships.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for solving complex analytical technical problems independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional manner and effectively adjust communication style based on audience.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide, train, and mentor multiple team members.
  • Experience with working across international time zones Is preferred but not required.
