Family Medicine Physician with Residency Teaching Opportunity

Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH) is seeking a dedicated, Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician to join our thriving primary care practice in Round Rock, Texas, as a Core Faculty member for our Family Medicine Residency Program. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by mentoring and teaching the next generation of Family Medicine physicians while practicing high-quality, patient-centered care.

Our Family Medicine residency program, affiliated with Texas A&M, trains six residents annually. The role is a blend of 80% clinical care and 20% administrative responsibilities, offering a manageable work-life balance with minimal call obligations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide high-quality, outpatient family medicine care to a diverse patient population.
  • Serve as a mentor and teacher for residents, providing guidance on both clinical and professional development.
  • Collaborate effectively with referring physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Balance teaching, patient care, and administrative duties efficiently.

Qualifications :

  • Doctorate Degree in Medicine.
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board.
  • Board Certified in Family Medicine or demonstrate active pursuit of board certification through the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists.
  • Experience in family medicine residency teaching and administrative tasks is required.
  • Strong passion for mentoring and helping residents grow professionally.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with a collaborative approach to patient care.
