The Sicilian Butcher restaurant brand is seeking a Staff Accountant to assist and support our Financial Controller in various financial functions for our rapidly expanding restaurant group. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing fixed assets, inventory, and accounts receivable. This role will also assist with accounts payable functions and the recording of daily sales for The Sicilian Butcher brand.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Maintain the fixed asset register for The Sicilian Butcher, ensuring accurate and timely updates for additions and disposals.Assist the Accounts Payable Manager with processing approved invoices, ensuring proper recording in the accounting system, and processing payments to vendors.Reconcile and record daily sales imported from the restaurant's point-of-sale system.Assist the Development team with construction project accounting and ad-hoc development projects, including purchasing and sale of land, construction costs, and land entitlements.Ensure timely processing of all accounting data, maintain reconciliations, and ensure fixed asset and inventory balances are accurate and within targets.Facilitate the month-end close process in collaboration with the accounting team.Work with the Brand Controller and Director of Finance as needed.Actively contribute ideas, suggestions, and solutions during team discussions.Perform other duties as assigned.Job Requirements :

Required : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, or actively pursuing an accounting degree.2+ years of experience in accounting, specifically managing fixed assets, inventory, accounts receivable, AP functions, and recording sales.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook and Excel.Knowledge of accounting software such as Sage and ADP.Experience in construction accounting is a plus.Strong understanding of accounting principles with the ability to interpret complex data.Who We Are :
