Water Resources Project Manager
A client is seeking a Water Resources Project Manager to lead and manage a variety of stormwater, wastewater, and water distribution system projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing firm that recently became an employee-owned company (ESOP), offering new team members the chance to be part of something from the ground up.
Responsibilities :
- Design and manage stormwater collection, wastewater collection, and water distribution system facilities.
- Oversee projects from start to finish, including proposals, schematic design, design development, construction documents, permitting, bidding, and construction administration.
- Manage multiple projects while balancing scheduling and resource allocation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, contractors, and local government officials, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.
- Collaborate with managers and project engineers to develop effective water resources solutions.
- Assist on water resources aspects of multidisciplinary projects.
- Prepare grant applications and facility plans, coordinating with private and public stakeholders to secure project funding, especially for small and medium-sized systems.

Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3DExperience with HECRAS, HECHMS, PondPak, HY-8, MicrostationFamiliarity with GeoPAK Drainage, XPSWMM, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, and WaterCADExperience with Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District projectsRequirements :
Bachelor's degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering from a four-year college or university10+ years of experienceProfessional Engineer, licensed in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, or Missouri, with design experience focused on water resourcesKnowledge of preparation and review of engineering plans and specifications to ensure all aspects of project implementation are clearly conveyedExperience with hydrologic, hydraulic, and water resources-related projectsExperienced in working with both governmental and private clients in Missouri, Kentucky, and Illinois
