We are seeking a skilled Application Packaging Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The Application Packaging Engineer will be responsible for creating, testing, and deploying software packages across our organization’s computer systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SCCM, scripting, and technical support in a medium to large Active Directory environment.

Responsibilities :

Software Packaging : Create installation packages for software applications, ensuring proper configuration for deployment.
Scripting : Write and maintain scripts (e.g., PowerShell, VBScript) to automate software installation and configuration.
Testing and Troubleshooting : Test software packages to ensure successful installation and troubleshoot any deployment issues.
Deployment : Utilize SCCM to deploy software packages across the network efficiently.
Documentation : Maintain detailed documentation of packaging processes and configurations.
Support : Provide technical support for software deployment issues and collaborate with other IT teams to resolve problems.

Qualifications :

Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience with installing and managing applications on Windows 7 and 10 systems in an automated fashion.

Experience working in a medium to large Active Directory environment with Windows Server 2008R2, 2012, and / or 2016.

Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, batch files, VBScript, or Perl.

Extensive experience administering and managing SCCM for system configuration and software deployments.

Proven track record of scripting and packaging the installation of over one hundred (100) applications.

Strong ability to design, manage, troubleshoot, and diagnose software problems related to Windows 10 workstations, including the operating system and complex third-party applications.
