We are seeking a board-certified / board-eligible physiatrist with fellowship training in interventional pain and chronic pain management for a hospital-based practice in Atlanta. The candidate should have at least 3-5 years of experience.
The physician’s primary clinical responsibilities are evaluation and management of patients in the Spine & Pain Institute. The general population includes acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, and complex catastrophic injuries. However, the clinic also sees community referrals for all types of pain management.
In addition to outpatient pain management, the physician provides consultation on pain management issues for inpatients at Shepherd Center. As medical director, the candidate supervises other physicians and advanced practice providers in the practice. They are involved with recruitment and retention in their practice area and work closely with the CMO and the Director of Outpatient Services on strategic planning.

Candidates should have a patient-centric clinical focus with strong interests in advancing the field through research, academics, and advocacy. Candidates must be board certified / eligible in PM&R.
