Manager In Training - Convenience Store

Key job responsibilities :

Manager Human Resources actions

  • Employee recruiting and hiring based on anticipated store needs.
  • Coach and support new and existing team members.
  • Train and development new team members
  • Ensure all team members adhere to the company's policies and guidelines.

Act as our store's representative and set an example for our staff.

  • Inspire and encourage employees to ensure a high level of morale.
  • Supervise and motivate staff to perform their best.

    • Ensure daily / weekly operations are completed per Cobblestone Standard

  • Assist customers and troubleshoot customer service issues when necessary.
  • Ensuring store schedules, operational objectives and metric goals are met by employees.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure the store is functionable and presentable.
  • Organize, plan and implement strategy.

    • Inventory

  • Monitor inventory levels of product and supplies, place orders based off needs.
  • Work with vendors to make sure that product is replenished in a timely manner, as well as auditing deliveries to verify over ordering has occurred.

  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule of days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Experience with hiring and performance evaluation processes
  • Familiarity with financial and customer service principles
  • Good math skills with the ability to create and analyze reports, spreadsheets and sales statistics
  • Proficient user of MS Office (MS Excel in particular)
  • Leadership and organizational abilities
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problem-solving attitude
