Express Employment is hiring for a HR Generalist for a contract position for a undetermined amount of time. Candidate must have experience with the HRIS system 'Workday' Pay will be based on experience $27-$32 DOE
- The Human Resources Generalist supports & deploys HR processes, policies, and
- practices that align with the goals of the business. The HR Generalist supports the
- business units in recruiting, benefit administration, HRIS guidance, and HR related
- special projects. The role works closely with managers in the recruitment process
- including onboarding and exit programs for employees.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Support recruitment process by maintaining recruitment system(s) and tools assist with job posting development, sourcing and screening candidates, interview participation, and pre-employment activities such asadministration of drug screens, background checks and reference checks. Post-employment activities include completion of onboarding activities.Provide assistance by responding to internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests; this includes employee and manager HR inquiries. Assist employees with interpretation of company policies, procedures and benefits.Supports the maintenance of HRIS and related system administration and employment related changes, including but not limited to Workday, performance management, and training systems. This includes processing employment related changes including data entry into HRIS System (Workday).Assist with employee engagement including, but not limited to, development of new hire and termination communication material, complete new hire onboarding, termination process and annual benefit enrollment communication.Assist with the coordination of key HR projects, such as employee engagement survey, undertake special projects involving accumulations and compilations of data, research, and creating and preparation of reports.Administer leave management, which includes FMLA and Salary ContinuanceCounsel and advise supervisors and managers regarding company policies and procedures, and all aspects of employment law. Support Compliance with all federal, state and local employment lawsAdminister unemployment & workshare programs including claims, audits and reporting.Maintain People Policy Framework including document management, site updates, and master records.Minimum Required Experience & Qualifications
Degree or Equivalent3 years of Human Resources experienceKnowledge and application of employment lawsKnowledge and application of benefit plansPreferred Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor of Business Administration with concentration in Human ResourcesPsychology or other related fields
Experience planning, facilitating and conducting trainingSkills & Competencies
