The Principal IT Analyst is assigned to one of the three divisions (Systems, Applications, Operations) based on background and experience. Candidates have the option to select which division they would like to be considered for. The current opportunity is in the Applications Division.

Qualification Guidelines
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field. Additional related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis.

Experience
Five years of experience supporting enterprise information systems, including two years of project lead or supervisory level experience in the direction and coordination of complex projects.
License
Valid California Class C driver's license and an acceptable driving record at the time of appointment and throughout employment.
Special Requirements
Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays as assigned.

BACKGROUND CHECK REQUIREMENTS
As part of their duties, Systems Analyst's may be assigned to work in the Ontario Police Department facilities or will have access to Police Department information systems. As a result, employment in this position is subject to the satisfactory completion of a background investigation conducted by the Ontario Police Department. This background investigation will include the passing of a polygraph test. Additionally, Principal IT Analyst's may be assigned to work at the Ontario International Airport Authority (OIAA) and must possess the ability to pass all background / reference checks, knowledge examinations, as well as aptitude tests necessary to obtain and maintain a security badge to access secured areas of the Ontario International Airport. Applicants must pass a Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) and Security Threat Assessment (STA) prior to receiving a security badge.
