Choir Director (part-time) $20.00 The Choir Director serves as the academic administrator and lead faculty responsible for the
assigned area of specialization. The position provides the opportunity to teach one course per
semester, participate in fundraising and community involvement activities, and to direct the choir
at multiple ceremonies and events throughout the academic year. Under the guidance and direction of
the Dean of the School of General Studies, Arts & Science, this position functions in alignment
with the College's mission and strategic direction in service to students and their success. The
Director is responsible for recruiting, engagement, and retention of new students within the
purview of general education, and academic and artistic enrichment. The Director also has the
responsibility of receiving, reviewing and awarding merit-based
scholarships each semester. Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for both independent project management and collaborative efforts to create meaningful
educational outcomes for students in MUS-1131. This course is open to all students interested in
singing in a college choir. In addition to public performances of standard choral literature, this
course includes basic vocal techniques, basic music theory, improvement of sight reading,
musicianship skills, music fundamentals, and music history and appreciation as it relates to choral

Qualifications - Education, Experience, and Skills
