What the day will look like

Aon Risk Consultants, Inc. seeks a Consultant / Actuary in New York, New York to perform actuarial analysis. Conduct actuarial reserve analyses, captive feasibility studies, and loss forecasting for property and casualty insurance services. Deliver actuarial products and services, ensuring that work product meets expectations for accuracy, process, and reasonability. Develop and apply improved actuarial analysis procedures to increase accuracy and efficiency. Review for deficiencies in actuarial data, processes, and results. Complete property and casualty actuarial analyses for loss reserving, self-insurance analysis, and simulations. Apply knowledge of actuarial concepts and reserving methodologies. Explain technical ideas involving actuarial and statistical methodologies to a non-technical audience. Participate in internal research projects. Review, analyze, and visualize data using Microsoft Excel and Access. Use statistical technique to improve existing processes and actuarial approaches. Analyze large scale datasets using Python and R. Local telecommuting available up to 2 days per week. Annual salary : $119,800 - $199,600.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field plus one year of actuarial analysis experience. Must have at least one year of experience in each of the following : 1. Conducting actuarial reserve analyses and loss forecasting for property and casualty insurance services; 2. Completing property and casualty actuarial analyses for loss reserving and simulations; 3. Applying knowledge of actuarial concepts and reserving methodologies; 4. Reviewing, analyzing, and visualizing data using Microsoft Excel and Access; and 5. Analyzing large scale datasets using R.
