The portfolio is a long-term holder of its investments / assets and plans to grow both organically and through acquisitions into the foreseeable future.
Summary
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new revenue streams by growing sales of former and existing customers while seeking and acquiring new customers in current and existing markets for our Northeast Territory (DE,MA,ME,NJ,NY,PA,VA,WV,CT,MD,NH,RI). A subject matter expert in both the Company’s products and services and those of the broader market and our competitors, this person will use “voice of the customer” and “value add” philosophies to understand each customer’s unique needs and present on-point solutions. Partnering with the Sales Manager and RBI VP Marketing & Innovation, this person will be a vital conduit to inform stakeholders about current market conditions and work with Engineering to consider new, innovative products and services to meet customer demands. With an eye on earnings, this role should fundamentally understand the Company’s cost structure and work to ensure the best possible margins on each sales order.
To be successful, the Outside Sales Representative must be inquisitive, insightful, proactive, detail-oriented, and resilient. Being able to relate to and build positive relationships with – both customers and peers within the Company – are a must. The ideal candidate will be able to self-manage their time while ensuring a constant flow of information to the Sales team and key roles within the Company.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead by example with a Safety First mindset in every task
- In partnership with the Sales Manager and under the direction of the President & General Manager, support the setting of quarterly and annual revenue goals to support the Company’s annual budget and on-going Five-Year Strategic Plan
- Participating in the complete sales cycle
- Recommending improvements on products to attract customers
- Develop and maintain sales plans for the assigned territory to include customer / account identification and classifications, target account outreach strategy, territory growth plans, call / contact / follow -up reports, and other information vital to the execution of these plans
- Use intimate knowledge of the Company’s and competitors’ products, services, and other offerings to formulate a best-in-class customer and order acquisition methodology
- Partner with Customer Service, Materials, Production, Engineering, and Distribution teams to accurately forecasts Company’s ability to meet or exceed customers’ needs and expectations regarding product / service offerings and delivery
- Serve as customers’ primary point-of-contact with the Company to include managing product / service selection and ordering, order changes and updates, training and knowledge-sharing sessions, complaint / issue resolution, etc.
- Visit territory accounts and prospective customers on a regular basis to ensure customer satisfaction, to secure new orders, and to resolve any customer issues
- Participate in industry trade shows other relevant Company and industry events
- Follow ISO 9001QMS procedures and policies
- All other duties as assigned

Education, Experience & Qualifications
Minimum
An interdisciplinary education that combines sales, engineering, or a related fieldAt least three years in a customer-facing commercial rolePreferred
