Patch Analyst

Akkodis is seeking a Patch Analyst for a Contract job with a client in San Antonio, TX. You will be responsible for distributing patches to company assets and reporting on compliance status to management.

Rate Range : $28 / hour to $29.37 / hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Patch Analyst job responsibilities include :

• Distributing patches to company-owned assets, including server and operations systems, and third-party software.
• Reporting patch distribution status and compliance levels to management.
• Assisting with CPS Energy internal control and NERC audits, ensuring compliance with IT policies.
• Contact SMEs bi-weekly to check for released security patches for Compliance, Siemens, and OSI systems.
• Condensing patch lists to streamline evaluation processes.
• Coordinating with support staff and application owners to evaluate and implement patches.
• Tracking and recording patch receipt, assessment, and implementation dates.
• Ensuring patching processes are documented accurately and compliant with policies.
• Utilizing automated software tools to assess patches and report their status.
• Ensuring that patch activities are tracked and approved within the configuration management process.
• Escalating issues to IT Management when patches risk missing deadlines or require extended mitigations.
• Planning and implementing process improvements, including process modeling and flowcharts.
• Assisting with system outage investigations to identify root causes.
• Supporting special reports and projects as needed.

Pay Details : $28.00 to $29.37 per hour
