LaSalle Network has partnered with a leading distribution company seeking a skilled Contract ERP Systems Analyst to join the team and play a crucial role in the successful implementation, configuration and ongoing support of their ERP system. The ideal candidate will possess experience in configuring ERP solutions, collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, creating comprehensive documentation and acting as a bridge between technical teams and business units. This role does not require specific ERP platform experience and is focused on the ability to understand and adapt to various ERP systems.

This is a contract position, offering an opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of their business processes.

ERP Systems Analyst Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with technical teams to configure the ERP system to align with business requirements and processes
  • Understand and analyze system capabilities to ensure optimal configuration settings that meet business needs
  • Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into ERP configuration specifications
  • Engage with business stakeholders to elicit and document functional and technical requirements for the ERP system
  • Conduct workshops, interviews and meetings to understand business processes and gather user needs
  • Translate business requirements into clear and concise documentation for technical teams
  • Create comprehensive documentation including functional specifications, user stories, process flows and configuration guides
  • Maintain accurate records of requirements, design decisions and system configurations for future reference
  • Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business units, ensuring effective communication and understanding between both groups
  • Act as an advocate for business needs and help drive alignment between technology solutions and business objectives
  • Participate in testing efforts, including creating test plans, executing tests and documenting results to ensure the ERP system functions as intended
  • Collaborate with end-users to validate system functionality and address any issues or discrepancies
  • Assist in change management activities related to ERP system updates, enhancements, and process changes
  • Provide training and support to end-users to ensure successful adoption of new ERP features and functionalities

ERP Systems Analyst Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems or a related field; master’s degree preferred
  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst working on ERP implementation and configuration projects
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and their functionalities, regardless of specific platform (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.)
  • Strong ability to gather and translate complex business requirements into technical specifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficient in creating detailed documentation, including process flows, functional specifications and user stories
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
  • Experience with ERP testing methodologies and practices
  • Change management experience related to ERP implementations and upgrades is a plus
  • Ability to adapt and learn quickly, regardless of the specific ERP platform used
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    • This ERP Systems Analyst position is an open-ended contract with the potential for both extension or conversions. This role is onsite 1-3x / week in downtown Chicago.
