Description : Position Purpose
Join Mercy Care Atlanta as a Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN), where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care to uninsured, homeless, and immigrant populations. Under the guidance of the Clinical Nurse Manager and Psychiatrist, you will support psychiatric services in a clinic setting.
What You Will Do
- Schedule and manage long-acting injectable (LAI) appointments, ensuring medication availability and patient compliance.
- Conduct nursing assessments, review lab results, and collaborate with providers, substance abuse counselors, and peer specialists.
- Handle in-basket messages and assist in scheduling appointments with various departments.
- Administer AIMS and MOCA assessments as needed and assist with prior authorizations and Patient Assistance Program (PAP) applications.
- Support psychiatric emergencies, orient new colleagues, and assist in clinic operations during staff shortages.
