A company is looking for a Medication Access Coordinator I.Key ResponsibilitiesObtain prior authorization for medications and document referrals using third-party payer criteriaMaintain knowledge of patient assistance programs and communicate with the care team regarding authorization statusEducate providers and patients on specialty services to enhance overall patient careRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) requiredMinimum of 2 years of related work experience requiredKnowledge of pharmacy reimbursement methodologiesFamiliarity with medical terminology and healthcare industry practicesAbility to float between areas of workload as needed
