Payloads Product Engineer

Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Payloads Product Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to support the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Targets & Countermeasures (TC) Midrange Targets (TCM) Program Office with engineering support in the development of test assets to further refine the capabilities of current and future Missile Defense systems.

What You'll Be Doing :

Support the TCM program office with development of reentry vehicles, sensor packages, and counter measures through requirements refinement, product development, testing, and fielding.

Support the TCM Payloads Engineering team in full lifecycle development of multiple products.

Collaborate with a dynamic team of experts across technical areas to review and ensure designs meet the program requirements and are capable of being produced in the allocated times.

Provide engineering knowledge to ensure a thorough analysis of the design is complete for major and incremental reviews.

Technical focus areas could include model analysis, structural loads, stress analysis, aerodynamics analysis, circuit development, thermal studies, and analysis, coordinate system transformations, and vehicle performance assessment.

What Required Skills You'll Bring :

Bachelor's degree in STEM field (e.g., engineering, physics, math, etc.)

Active DoD Secret security clearance

3+ years working on missile defense-related or other DoD program / project

Applies engineering rigor to analyze and resolve problems

Experience with CAD and modeling tools

Able to interpret and derive data from product schematics

Strong oral and written communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

What Desired Skills You'll Bring :

Familiarity with MDA and / or DoD programs and processes

Strong attention to detail and ability to efficiently perform multiple tasks

Ability to communicate detailed technical information to technical and non-technical personnel

Salary Range :
