Description
Baptist Health is looking for an Oncology Data Specialist - Part-time to join our team.
This is a remote position that requires residency in KY or IN
The Oncology Data Specialist performs case finding, accessioning, abstracting and follow-up of patients discharged from Baptist Health System with a cancer diagnosis. Provides coordination and organization of the Cancer Registry database for reporting.
Minimum Requirements
Associate degree
Two years of cancer registry experience
Strong working knowledge medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, disease processes and treatment methods required.
Coding experience in an acute care setting preferred.
Certified Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) or documented eligibility to sit for the ODS exam with satisfactory completion within 3 years of employment.
