Job description

The GoJek Strategy Team drives high-impact initiatives that shape the company’s strategic direction. In this role, you’ll lead a sub-team under GoJek Strategy Org focused on strategizing and executing new business opportunities or changes. You will work closely with group senior leadership and business line leaders to align on strategic direction and ensure successful execution of initiatives, from concept, and delivery through to transition into business-as-usual (BAU) operations. You may also have the opportunity to build and lead your own small team as business needs evolve.

What you will do

  • Strategic Leadership : Partner with the Head of Group Strategy and Group Senior Leadership to identify and prioritize new strategic opportunities or business changes across GoJek’s key business areas.
  • Incubation & Execution : Lead the incubation process - evaluating opportunities, developing business cases, setting forecasts, and ensuring smooth operational setup. Transition proven initiatives to BAU teams for long-term scalability.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication : Act as a key partner to the Head of Strategy and other leaders, ensuring alignment on strategy and facilitating cross-functional collaboration across business lines and groups. Effective communication across the organization and managing differing viewpoints.
  • Project Management : Oversee and manage the execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time and on target while managing resources and risks effectively.
  • Impact Delivery : Ensure initiatives drive measurable business outcomes and contribute to GoJek's long-term growth and success.
  • Team Leadership : Lead and mentor a small sub-team of strategists, fostering an environment of collaboration and high performance.

What you will need

  • Experience : at least 10 years in strategy, with a strong background in consulting (preferably from a top-tier consulting firm).
  • Strategic Thinking : Ability to develop and execute strategic plans, focusing on high-impact initiatives.
  • Business Case Development : Expertise in creating data-driven business cases.
  • Proactive & Self-Driven : Highly motivated and comfortable navigating complex, fast-paced environments with minimal supervision.
  • Analytical & Data-Driven : Strong ability to leverage data for decision-making and performance evaluation.
  • Leadership & Communication : Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
