ELECTRONIC MANUFACTURING QUALITY INSPECTOR

LOCATION : Greater Portland, OR

SALARY : $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

SCHEDULE : Full-Time | Monday - Friday

  • Morning Shift : 6 : 00 AM 2 : 30 PM
  • Afternoon Shift : 2 : 00 PM 10 : 30 PM
  • Occasional overtime as business needs

    • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct first article and final quality control inspections.
  • Hand solder SMT and through-hole components to IPC 610 and J-STD-001 Class 3 standards.
  • Perform rework as needed using a microscope and small hand tools.
  • Operate X-ray machines to ensure quality control.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and quality data.
  • Identify and correct defects to uphold quality standards.
  • Clean and maintain circuit board assemblies using various wash methods.

    • WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR

  • Education : High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree in electronics preferred.
  • Experience : Minimum 2 years in PCB assembly, through-hole soldering, and SMT soldering & rework.
  • Certifications : IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certification preferred.
  • Skills & Abilities :
  • Strong knowledge of IPC-A-610 inspection standards.
  • Ability to identify and work with various electronic components.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and ability to perform detailed work under a microscope.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and transport up to 20 pounds.
  • Reliable attendance and strong teamwork mindset.
  • Ability to read and interpret documentation in English.

    • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • The role requires sitting for extended periods while performing detailed work under a microscope.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and perform repetitive tasks using small hand tools.
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with strict quality control standards.
