Location : Los Angeles, CA (Pasadena and Pacific Palisades neighborhoods)
ECC is seeking candidates for a Site Supervisor position working on-site in Los Angeles, CA for the LA fires debris removal project. Qualified local candidates and candidates with significant fires debris removal, disaster recovery, heavy civil, environmental or construction project experience are encouraged to apply. The Site Supervisor position is full time and provides a full benefits package. This field supervisor position requires working extended days (including Saturday and Sunday) and extended hours, as needed by the project. Additional compensation for hours worked is provided. Must be able to work in the field in a variety of weather conditions. Project start date is immediate and the position is expected to last approximately 6-9 months . In the position of Site Supervisor, you will :
- Manage all work areas in an assigned location
- Monitor and manage disaster sites and site personnel, to include sub-contractors
- Coordinate and schedule debris removal for all sites
- Monitor and manage strict compliance with contract requirements
- Maintain precise field records and complete field reports
- Coordinate with H&S Officer, Quality Control Officer, Site Superintendent, CQC Site Managers and others for task prioritization and compliance.
- Assist in identifying task specific equipment and supplies to achieve the objectives of the project
- Make recommendations in conjunction with Human Resources for hiring, performance appraisals, and terminations, if necessary.
- Coordinate with the Project Engineer, Health and Safety Officer, and Quality Control Officer for interaction of task prioritization.
- Compliance with health and safety and quality control requirements as identified by functional officers.
- Assist and lead field teams in achieving task requirements.
- In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position.
Requirements
Proven ability to implement programs to address complex needs and problemsAbility to coordinate with staff on various task assignments or environmental projectsKnowledge of scheduling and budgeting for environmental projectsOSHA 30Minimum of 2 years progressively responsible site supervision experience on large environmental projects, or fire debris removal, disaster recovery, heavy civil or earth moving projects.Current 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certificatio, or be able to obtain one quicklyEducation : High School diploma or GED. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.Preferred Qualifications
Prior work experience on a fire debris removal project or similar disaster debris removal project, earth moving or heavy civil projects highly desiredPrevious experience with shipping hazardous materials in compliance with regulatory requirementsKnowledge of federal contracting regulations and requirements preferredBachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Construction Management, or a related field desired, but not requiredECC targeted salary range for US locations average is $79,996.80 to $90,396 annually (based on 40 hours per week) Additional compensation for hours worked up to 12 hours a day 6 or 7 days a week. (potential to earn $2,769 to $3,230 per week or more)
