The Educator assists with staff development and monitors the perioperative environment to ensure safe patient care. The Perioperative Educator : Proactively assesses needs of each unit and checks competency on team membersDemonstrates knowledge of regulatory and Joint Commission requirements and works with staff to assure compliance with all standardsEngages in departmental / hospital committees, PI projects, and educational offerings to peers, mentoring / precepting of new team members.Completes other duties as requested / assigned.EducationMSN (preferred)BSN (required) Licensure / Certification / RegistrationFlorida Registered Nurse LicenseBLSACLSCNOR, within 12 monthsSpecial Skills / Qualifications / Additional Training / Experience RequiredMinimum of 2 years in Perioperative clinical setting; Management experience preferredThe ideal candidate must be proficient with software applications, organized, and possess the skillset to build and maintain spreadsheets.
